I have lived in Brisbane now for 3 years and have never taken the opportunity to visit Toowoomba, so one of the first ads I saw the day I signed up to Aussiehousesitters was just a weekend sit in that area. I was still living in my home till the end of March, but thought, why not apply and see if this sit is still available and head away for the weekend if it was. Toowoomba only an easy hour and a half drive away. Being only a couple of days away before the sit started I still took the opportunity to contact the homeowner and offer my 'sitting' services. Fortunately for me, she had just had the sitter that was already booked, cancel on her, so two days after signing up, and after a quick phonecall chat, I found myself heading to Toowoomba for a weekend sit for the two cats. Driving through the fog and arriving a half hour or so before she was due to leave so we could have a quick chat and go over feeding schedules etc, Meg, was just lovely. A...
